Mushroom Poisonings
Some poisonous mushrooms occur in Sonoma County. Never eat a wild mushroom unless you're absolutely certain of their identity. If you think you, your child, or even your dog may have eaten a poisonous mushroom, seek medical attention immediately. Ideally, save a whole, intact mushroom of the same kind to show medical & mycological assistants!
Consider donating to the SOMA Scholarship Fund!
This is another way to support our academic, community science and youth scholarship opportunities as well as our fungal DNA sequencing efforts.
We have awarded $100,000+ in mycology scholarships in the last six years!
